SGT will showcase VEDA Version 27 at IBC, marking a significant step forward for its broadcast automation and media management platform while maintaining full compatibility with existing workflows and operational practices.
Built to support the modernization of playout and broadcast operations, this new version brings a new generation of HTML-based applications covering automation, media asset management, promotion management and Sentinel. Broadcasters can modernize their operations at their own pace, without disrupting established production or transmission environments.
A new Promotion Manager module streamlines the management of coming-next events and cross-promotion campaigns. The automation suite now includes a Playlist Quality view, providing operators with an instant overview of playlist health, together with Channel Bouquet management to simplify multi-channel operations in large broadcast centres.
The automation client is now available both as a fully featured web application and as a desktop version, allowing operators to select the interface that best fits their operational requirements.
The new version also introduces a new HTML MAM client, replacing the previous FLOW desktop application while retaining key business modules such as Content Checking, Acquisition, Player/Thumbnails and Search. The MAM remains fully integrated with the VEDA workflow engine through its operational to-do list.
All web applications, including Automation, MAM, Promotion Manager and Sentinel are accessed through the new VEDA webPortal, delivering single sign-on across the platform. Integrated native chat further enhances collaboration between operational teams, particularly in remote and distributed environments.
On the infrastructure side, the VEDA back office now supports deployment on both Windows Server and Ubuntu Server, giving engineering teams greater flexibility when selecting their preferred platform for on-premises, hybrid or cloud deployments.
“The new version of VEDA gives broadcasters a practical and progressive path towards modern operations. It combines the proven reliability of established VEDA workflows with a new generation of web-based applications, unified access and greater infrastructure flexibility across on-premises, hybrid and cloud deployments,” says Jean-François Seignole, Head of Product at SGT.”
Visitors to IBC can experience the latest version of VEDA at the Hexaglobe Group booth 2.B51.
